Tire Pressure Light
Types of TPMS Service
Direct Monitoring Systems
Direct tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) warn Ocala drivers when the air pressure in any of their tires drops at least 25% below the recommended cold tire inflation pressure. Direct systems have a TPMS sensor in each wheel, generate pretty accurate warnings and cause the tire pressure light in the dashboard to come on if any one tire falls below a predetermined level due to rapid air loss.
Gainesville Indirect Monitoring Systems
Indirect tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) warns Ocala drivers when a single tire has lost at least 25% of its tire pressure compared to other tires on the Toyota vehicles. It's a little less accurate than the direct system for Florida drivers, but its still useful. The reason its not as accurate is because it doesn't specify which car tire pressure is low, and doesn't warn the driver if all four tires are losing pressure at around the same rate (like during the fall and winter months when operating temperatures get colder). Additionally, indirect systems sometimes generate false warnings.
Why is Low Tire Pressure Bad?
Driving your Toyota vehicle on tires with low car tire pressure can create unsafe conditions in a hurry, particularly in The Villages bad weather. If your Toyota automobile tire pressure is too low and you continue to drive around Florida, you could severely damage your Toyota vehicles tires, and you may eventually blow a tire. Driving with low tire pressure also impacts your gas mileage, car handling, and will reduce the life of your car tires.
Leesburg Drivers With Low Tire Pressure
Studies have shown that people operating their cars without the recommended tire pressure is common. It's been estimated that about one out of every four Toyota vehicles driving around Leesburg is driving without the proper tire pressure. That means that roughly one out of every four drivers is negatively impacting their vehicle's fuel economy and handling, and costing themselves money by reducing their tires' durability and tread life.
If you are unsure of which TMPS service your Toyota vehicle has, stop by DeLuca Toyota in Ocala, Florida to have your car tire pressure checked.
Since Ocala tire pressure systems aren't always 100% accurate, make sure you check your Toyota tires to help ensure they have the proper tire pressure, or have DeLuca Toyota check it against your tire pressure chart, at regular intervals.

If the Toyota vehicle you're driving starts to have low car tire pressure, you'll be warned, thanks to the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) in your Toyota vehicle. The TPMS is often referred to as your tire pressure light. It comes on to warn the driver when a tire is significantly underinflated and not close to the recommended tire pressure. The main purpose of these systems is to warn Gainesville drivers if their tires are losing tire pressure, leaving the tires underinflated and dangerous.
